It has a more natural feel and is complimentary to the small and delicate details of the food presentation. It also illustrates how the final food will look when served to the customer as in most cases it is actually photographed in the surroundings that they are dining in.

The client required a set of promotional images to use on their website and in marketing activities. Natural lighting was selected as the best way to capture the subtle handmade element of the cakes. The natural table surfaces and everyday props helped with the composition of this natural setup. The photography covered a number of setups including close-ups and a set of documentary shots showing the stages of some cakes being handmade and decorated.
